As we have previously mentioned, we recently brought in some pieces from Canadian brand @maebodyjewelry which is based in Quebec. These sandblasted stars have a very unique texture to them, giving them a different look in different lighting. The small size is so teeny tiny that we can only use it for fresh nose piercings, but would also be suitable for fully healed piercings. The larger piece can be used right away though, and suits lots of different piercings! This year we are collecting food donations for Feed Nova Scotia, and instead of one day, we're doing a whole week! From December 2nd to 6th, you can save $5.00 for every non perishable food item you donate up to $25.00 per service.
So if you have an appointment or if you are looking to come in on a walk in day, be sure to bring at least 5 items to get the max discount! Everyone who donates gets to put their name in a draw for a $200.00 gift certificate at Jagger's.
As a bonus, we are offering 2 walk-in days for the week (Wednesday the 3rd and Saturday the 6th). Be sure to stop by!!

📌 WHAT IS A DOWNSIZE?:

Downsizing refers to having your piercer replace the initial piece of jewelry used to accommodate swelling with a shorter piece of jewelry. This is done within a few weeks to a few months, depending on when the swelling has subsided.

📌WHY IS DOWNSIZING IMPORTANT?:

✔️ Prevents irritation and movement

✔️ Promotes faster, healthier healing

✔️ Keeps your piercing looking neat and feels more comfortable!

❕ Helps prevent migration, which can occur if jewelry is left too long, causing the piercing to shift or move out of place!

👉🏼 You will know your piercing is ready when the jewelry feels a little bit long because the initial swelling has passed!

⚠️ Don’t downsize too soon — the piercing still needs room for natural movement and minor swelling.

⚠️ Don’t wait too long — leaving a long post in for months can lead to migration or snagging. This can also cause the swelling to return from excessive movement.
